Letter of complaint for educating essex free essay sample

I am writing to you in response to your extremely biased and unfair newspaper article on Educating Essex. Your harsh report portrayed young adults as dumb, overdramatic and stubborn. When in reality the majority of young adults are hardworking, successful and determined. I am shocked by the way you have portrayed the young adults of Passmore School to the nation. You refer to one self confident girl as a ‘panda-eyed teenager’. Did you know 56% of teenagers feel that the media’s advertisement and views are the main cause for low self-esteem? Stating something about her physical appearance can be one of the worst things you can do to a young adult. Often the media’s impact on girls’ self-esteem can cause massive problems for young adult such as anorexia, bulimia, depression, not feeling good enough and even suicide. Referring to ‘young girls caked in makeup’ is extremely rude as most young adults wear makeup because it makes them feel more confident as well as giving them a sense of individuality. They desire maturity as they strive to appear and behave as if they are older than they actually are. Another reason why your article is extremely biased is the heart warming moment when Mr. Goddard jumps out behind his office door, assembling a â€Å"V† with his fingers to his deputy head Mr. Drew. You have cited this as an extremely childish thing to do. Although most reasonable people in the nation saw this as a close bond between a head teacher and his deputy head who work in an extremely stressful working environment, letting of some steam behind closed doors and away from the students eyes. Although some people may see this as a childish thing to do, I imagine running a comprehensive school can be extremely difficult and stressful. This moment also shows that the two are very close and have a good friendship within the workplace and outside the workplace.
